In October Arnie and I attended the annual conference of the International Network of Boutique Law Firms (INBLF) at the beautiful Terranea Resort on the Pacific coast in Orange County, California. At the concluding gala, Arnie was surprised (all the more so because he was asked to read the plaque) to receive the Larry Koltun Memorial Award, given each year to the INBLF member who most exemplifies the spirit of congeniality and collegiality that characterized the late DC chapter president. The conference was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues we know (including our Australian co-counsel in the Ellen G. White Estate case) and meet new colleagues from around the world. Arnie and I also helped organize the special tribute at the gala to outgoing INBLF president and founder Steven Spielvogel.
