Thomas Peterson counsels clients on a full range of intellectual property law matters, including patent and trademark prosecution, litigation, unfair competition, licensing and related antitrust and trade matters.
Currently a sole practitioner, he was previously an attorney and shareholder at the law firms of Adorno & Yoss LLP and Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. Mr. Peterson also served as a patent examiner for the US Patent and Trademark Office and worked as an electrical engineer for General Motors Corporation. He is currently an adjunct professor of patent, trademark and copyright law at Howard University.
Mr. Peterson received his J.D. Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and his B.S.E.E. from Youngstown State University. He is a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia. Mr. Peterson is a frequent lecturer and has written numerous articles on intellectual property.
