Jeannette Maurer Carmadella joined the firm in October 2006 as an associate attorney. She is a 2006 graduate of American University 's Washington College of Law and a member of the DC Bar. While in law school Jeannette was an editor of the International Law Review.
During law school Jeannette worked as a legal intern at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, where she researched copyright issues pertaining to the museum's permanent collection, drafted publishing contracts, revised standard licensing agreements and worked on matters involving the museum's trademarks. She was a summer associate at the Bethesda , Maryland law firm Brown and Gould, LLC, where she acquired litigation experience doing research and writing in a wide variety of practice areas. She also worked as a legal intern in the General Counsel's Office of The Broadcasting Board of Governors, assisting in drafting international arbitration guidelines for the agency.
Prior to law school she was a legal assistant in the technology department of Arent Fox, PLLC's trademark practice group, coordinating the trademark portfolio in North and South America for a major client of the firm. She previously had legislative experience with the Parkinson's Action Network.
Jeannette has a bachelor of arts in political science from Loyola College in Baltimore and participated in a study abroad program at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. |
